  Volume I&II, is the way to go. You get every GnR song there is; even if you don't want to play some of their lesser hits, it's still nice to have available, because one day you may change your mind. I started with Civil War, and wow...

  , it's dead on! Slash's style will wear you out, but in the long run it will make you a better guitarist. Get Vol. I&II, and have every GnR song available!

  This is probably the best Guns N Roses buy, and along with the 2nd edition you could have every GNR song at your disposal. Since there are so many great songs, the anthology's were exactly what I was looking for. They are all accurate and have pretty much every...

  guitar part, and they even give you the whistling and other intrumental parts tabbed out for guitar. Slash is the man, and most of the material fairly advanced but it's great practice to learn his guitar work, and it's great to play as well.

  I'm a huge G'n'R fan, and Slash is my favorite solo guitarist. There are some really great picking lines in this one (i.e. "Knockin' on...," "Don't Cry," "Civil War"). All the solos and rhythm guitar parts are there, even the whistling parts are arranged for...
